Site Information

The "Site Information" item in the Settings menu is where you manage your business information and other general settings, such as layout configurations, navigation options and social networks.
From here you also clean the cache of the entire site.
 

CACHE CLEANING

SevenDaysWeb utilizes cache to speed up the presentation of the website pages, by publishing them from a memory buffer instead of rebuilding them each time.
To better understand what it is and how it works, read this insight.

The "Clean Cache" button on the top toolbar, cleans the cache of the entire website and eliminates the pages stored up to that point, forcing the server to rebuild them.

Cleaning the cache is a periodic maintenance operation which is useful to restore your website. It is advisable to perform it after making a lot of changes, especially deleting and re-adding contents and categories.

PERSONAL AND BUSINESS INFORMATION

Let us now consider the configuration parameters, starting from personal and business information:

Name Name of website, organization or professional. Normally displayed on the upper part of the header.
Claim It 's the corporate motto, displayed on the website below or next to the its name
Language Default website language. Used by search engines to index according to the correct language
Logo
The logo is a small graphic image usually displayed at the top-center or top-left of the header.
Not all models support the display of the logo.
Favicon Optional, but nice to see. It is a 16x16 pixels image, displayed in the browser to identify the website.
Organization The "Organization" field is where you enter the name of the company, institution or professional owning the website.
Address ... VAT Nr ... Phone number
Other data for your organization. Entering the VAT Nr may be required for law compliance.
After editing this information, CLEAN the website cache (top button).
Service Email Email address for the notification of communications from SevenDaysWeb (eg notification of new users / customers registration)
Website Organization's main website address. Used if the website you are building is not the main one for your organization.
Privacy Notice
Name of the content where the privacy statement has been stored. The text of the privacy notice is a normal content that you write according to your business needs.
The link to the statement is displayed in the "Contact Us" form.
Google Analytics Google Tracking ID (e.g. UA-12345678-9). Used by Google to track website traffic and produce statistics.

LAYOUT

Layout settings allow you to control the overall look and feel of the website. Not all the settings, however, are handled by all templates. Color themes for example are handled by all templates, but, for some, background and fonts are preset by default and cannot be changed.

Theme Variants The theme is a predefined color combination for the various parts of the website: borders, backgrounds, titles, text, buttons, etc. ... All graphics, except from user-entered images are displayed according to the color theme. The theme includes background and font configuration, but these settings can be overridden by the user.
Background Type
Depending on layout, the website background is displayed behind the home page items or on the home page. In section pages it is always behind, to avoid confusion with contents.
Possible values ??are:
  • Model default. It is the standard mode.
  • Pattern. A small image is replicated several times to compose the background.
  • Full screen. A large image covers the entire website background.

Background image Select the appropriate image according to the type of background (pattern or full screen).
Header font Font used for header and category and paragraph titles.
Content body font Font used for paragraph text.
Blockquote font Font used to highlight words or sentences within text. It is usually a "fixed width" font.

NAVIGATION OPTIONS

Includes some general settings. The following three default categories are pre-configured on website creation and do not need editing:

Default category Name of category used by SevenDaysWeb to display the website Home.
Contact Us category Name of category used for "Contact Us" page.
Search category Name of category used to display results from searches performed directly or through the "tag cloud"
Notify new users Tells the system to send an email to the address set in "Service E-Mail" when a new user registers to the website. Requires the user registration service to be enabled for the website.
Confirm registration
If selected, new customers who register on the website are disabled from password-protected sections. Manual authorization by the website administration is required.

Moderate comments Enables comment moderation. If active, comments appear only after approval by the moderator.

SOCIAL NETWORKS

Define website behavior in relation to social networks

Enable [social network] button Social network buttons allow visitors to share the news published by you on the website, in their social network personal profiles. Only enable social networks that you monitor and deem interesting.
Link to [social network] page These links are for the buttons usually displayed on the page footer to allow users to follow you on your social network pages.
